The third quarter of 2022 revealed interesting trends for the top five maps and navigation apps in Mexico. According to Sensor Tower data, the performance of these apps varied significantly in terms of weekly downloads and active users.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides saw a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 155K in late June and peaking at around 188K by mid-August before experiencing a slight decline towards the end of September. The app maintained a robust weekly active user base, fluctuating between 4.9M and 5.7M throughout the quarter.

Uber - Request a ride also displayed a steady pattern in weekly downloads, ranging from 135K to 159K. The app's active users hovered around 5.2M to 5.6M, with minor fluctuations over the quarter.

inDrive. Save on city rides showed a notable increase in weekly downloads, climbing from approximately 86K in late June to a peak of 115K by mid-September. The app's active user base grew steadily, starting at around 2M and reaching approximately 2.3M by the end of the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced fluctuating weekly downloads, with numbers ranging from 42K to 65K. The active user count for Waze remained relatively stable, varying between 1.1M and 1.4M during the quarter.

Lastly, Moovit: Bus & Train Schedules saw a gradual increase in weekly downloads, starting at around 23K and peaking at 40K in mid-August before tapering off towards the end of September. The app's active user base showed growth, beginning at approximately 525K and reaching nearly 611K by mid-September.
